A few things worth checking before you buy
Measure yourself once and write the numbers down — bust, waist, hip and inside leg. Most plus size ranges publish a chart in centimetres, and matching your own measurements to it beats guessing a dress size that varies between shops.
Look at the fabric description too. A dress with a little stretch is far more forgiving across the bust and upper arm than a rigid woven one, and sleeve length is often the detail that decides whether something feels wearable.
